Testimonials

" This course presents a wonderful strength based model to address birth trauma in an accessible way for perinatal clients. Gena offers her incredible knowledge and wisdom using this model to support caregivers and she brings this work alive with her unique authenticity and relational orientation. I came into this course with a lot of training and experience myself and I have learnt a great deal during the course of the training."
Livia Ondi, LMFT

" Gena’s model is so thoughtful, practical, and adaptable. It is rooted in a heart-centered and gently experiential approach to working with those who have experienced birth trauma, but can be extrapolated out to many different clinical situations. I’m so grateful for the chance to work with Gena, and with everyone else who was in my cohort. "
Meredith Isaksen AMFT

" This course made me feel prepared to be able to assist clients in healing from birth trauma, whether it be giving birth or the trauma of their own birth. Gena does a wonderful job at describing the techniques, demonstrating how they work, and answering questions that arise. She also teaches participants how to let their intuition guide them in a way that feels tangible and applicable to the practice of psychotherapy. I would highly recommend the course. "
Jeff Gianelli, LMFT

Bilateral Stimulation

Bilateral stimulation reaches the implicit and explicit memory at the same time.
It can help resource a person or support them to process trauma memories while feeling safe in their bodies or both.

This model uses Bilateral Stimulation, but is not EMDR. The differences and similarities are explained more in the training.

When it is used for Resourcing, self regulation it swiftly reaches the places in the body that are experiencing trauma triggers and connects resources with them, resulting in feelings of calm and relief.

Bilateral Stimulation also:

* Creates new neural pathways
* Integrates fragments of the trauma into a narrative the person can tell without being triggered.
* Helps reduce the emotional charge of trauma
* Can be used easily with telehealth
